Where are Class of 2011 Art Students Going?

This year, five percent of the senior class will go on to study Fine Arts, Design, Illustration and Photography, at the college level this fall.
  • John Rainis earned a Portfolio Award from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University to major in Illustration.
  • Katelyn Sugalski received a Presidential Scholarship at Maryland Institute College of Art where she will major in Fine Arts.
  • Samantha Ward will attend Carnegie Mellon University where she will study English and Art.
  • Tom Akt will attend UMass Dartmouth where he will begin his studies in Graphic Design.
  • Colleen McElearney was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship at Northeastern University to study computer science and interactive media.
  • David Kenyon will attend the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University to major in Photography.
  • Connor Ross will attend Vassar College where he will study writing and art.
  • Megan Lutz received an Achievement Award from Rivier College where she will major in Interior Design.
  • Gabrielle Sullivan will attend UMass Dartmouth to study sculpture.
  • Shannon Utrato received a Leadership Scholarship from New England College where she will study Environmental Science and Photography.
  • Andrea Zadrozney will attend the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University to major in Photography.
Congratulations to Kerry Norton who will be attending Art All State at the Worcester Art Museum in May. Art students from across Massachusetts compete for the opportunity to spend two days at the Worcester Art Museum where they work with professional artists from a variety of disciplines. One hundred and forty juniors from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts were selected for this program.
